98 WR400 throttle stop

Does anyone know if the throttle stop on the 98 WR's needs to be trimmed to get the full power out of the bike? If it does, how much?

re44, go left and click on technical, there is a story on hoe to do it. also click search and search "throttle stop".

Just out of curiosity, is the throttle stop the same on the 98 WR's as the 99's?

86TT225, 99WR, WR timing, throttle stop trimmed, air box lid removed, White Bros head pipe, silencer and air filter. Odometer and headlight removed. Moose hand and mud guards. YZ stock tank and IMS seat. Renthal Jimmy Button "highs" and Renthal Soft half waffle grips. AMA, SETRA.
