Need some info on home built Dual Sport Kit.....

Recommended Posts

How much are you thinking you will end up spending? The reason I ask is because (I know you dont want an off the shelf kit) there is a kit available that is the best I've seen out there from a company called sicass racing, with the all LED upgrade its about $430.00 but it is turn key......no wires to cut, everything plugs right in and is very easy to install. I have one on my 08 wr450 and it looks and works awesome!

Hey motomanny, can you post a photo of your ride please sir. I'd like to see how the sicass kit looks mounted up. TIA

I got the worst looking setup .......

but I'm looking into what to replace it with ....

something that won't die in the same manner!

That picture is exactly why I am going to use some rubber

cut down to bolt the license plate on. Probably either rubber

from a tire, or maybe one of those large heavy mud flaps

like seen on semis. I figure that will be stiff enough to hold

the tag, but flexible enough to move during a get off.

I am going to post pictures as soon as I can chip, I cant do it from this computer because I am at work and loading the picture sharing program will afford me a but chewing. My shift is 72 hours and I'm on the last 24 so once I'm home I will take some good day time shots and put them up.

note: that's on a yz fender right? sure isn't a wr ....

and, have you crashed with it yet? does that plastic bend or break?

that my friend would be the new fender style of the 07+ WR's?

and crashed...well i dont think anything is fool proof...i looped my XR and ripped the whole rear fender off (didnt loose the plate as i unbolted from the fender!)...so no matter how you bolt your plate on what good does it do if you loose the rear fender in a crash :worthy:

hummm, they don't come with a tail light any longer huh?

that sure is one good looking bike btw ......

If you have this many questions about a fender design

that is now 3 years old, then you obviously do not have

the same addiction I do with ALWAYS looking at the new

bikes. Hence the reason for my latest 09 WR450F....:worthy:

Man I wish I wasnt this addicted....?

oh, to have a newish bike every year or so .....

stop dreaming dennis and get back to doing your chores.

I'm trying to wash out my big ol'cabin tent

for a few day in big bend coming this week ......

not exactly a toy box or motor home huh??

I think being involved with the baja 1k sounds like a lot of

fun, and a lot of work all wrapped into one.

This year you will have to do it on your own bike though....:banghead:
