What size Hex (allen) wrench do I need to remove the Crankshaft Cover on a 08 YZ450F? I bought a 17mm and It's too large, I am going back to Sears and just don't want to make wasted trips. I am adjusting the valves for the first time and would appreciate any help! Thanks in advance, Derek.

Standard Japanese sizes are 10, 12, 14, and 17. If the hex measures 9/16", it's 14mm; just over 7/16", it's 12.

I didn't measure it, I should have. The closest I could find was a 1/2", and it works just fine. Thanks.
