Ding ding ding.
It was one of those "I'm sick of not riding because it's been so cold for so long projects". I've changed the tires once since putting the tape on and they still look great. I did it to another bike as well (as well as painted the spokes and hubs glossy black)

2009 KLX250SF.
Bought it "used" in Jan 2011 with 39 miles on the odometer (warranty is good until Aug 27, 2011).
Recently added a Pelican iM2075 Storm case to my Nomadic rear rack.
Yeah, picture quality isn't that great but oh well....
