Rekluse E-axle, Anyone use this?

Recommended Posts

I'm using the e-axle on my 06 yz450f and love it. I wrote a review of it on here a while ago, but in summary: it helped me tune out the infamous "yz push" (I also set the sag, ditched the horrible stock 739 front tire, and slid the forks up 10mm in the clamps). One issue I see come up over and over concerning the e-axle is the strength of the axle itself. The e-axle is comstructed of a solid piece of stainless steel and high quality anodized billet aluminum. I have no doubt in my mind that it is as strong or stronger than your hollow stock piece. Here are potential drawbacks I have noted: 1) it moves the wheel around an eccentric "oval." Due to this when set in some of it's some extreme negative or extreme positive offset positions you may not be getting maximum contact area on the rotor by the brake pads. 2) just like anything else close attention should be paid to all the bolts at the bottom of the fork during routine maintainance. I feel the axle is a long term alternative to off-set clamps and I run the thing full time with no problems! Hope this helps.
