My brother wants to get rid of his 2000 cr250 and get a stroker. He does not want to pay the money for a WR (only rides a little) but he wants the motocross suspention, any sugestions? he found a great deal on a klx 300 and a xr250

I own a KLX and it took some work to get it usable. If I were your brother and weighted 150-180 with some moderate trail riding, I would be looking for a WRF 250. I just saw an '02 at my dealer sitting there for $4600. Not bad for a bike this nice. The WRF will need a lot less work to get it up to trail use (depending on needs) than the KLX. I'll run what I have, but your brother has a better choice today than I had in 1998.
