i have seen what you do to a tire and what you ride on lol. save some money and change tires less and go with a dunlop 952 plus it weighs less than the kendas. i have a 18 inch 952 at my buddies i will grab tom and weigh

ahhh, thats the one I was waiting for. thank you.

I got the soft compound millville sticky and my jagged mountain rocks and 450 ATE THAT TIRE UP!! every 2nd or 3rd lug is ripped clean off, its pretty bad.. I think I need a hard compound tire next time. I have heard good things about the 756

952 is perfect for you. match made in heaven. i will have the 18 inch weight for you tom. the 19 inch is already posted and alot lighter than the kenda you were thinking of getting. about 2 pounds i think, that is equivalent to 14lb!!!

what about the weight?

are either tires good for trail/forestry riding? my trails are pretty harsh, lots of big sharp mountain rocks, especially on the hillclimbs. sometimes its a 10 ton rocks and the only thing sticking outta the ground is its sharp edges that are like razor blades and they dont budge when your tire hits them at 1000 RPM.

huh? how? where?

ive only got 2 shitty videos in my youtube... thats nothing compared to my actual summer riding.

I think ill have to order that dunlop 952 in a hard compound and give it a try.

thanks for the advice, awesome thread.

that video you posted, plus with the terrain you listed the 952 is awesome for you and 1 will last you 3 tires worth compared to something else and it is cheaper and pretty light

it only comes in one compound but works well in everything. i use them for my trail riding bc i have to take some roads sometimes and it does very well on roads not wearing down to fast. it even works great on the track too

good, that sounds like the perfect tire for me, I also do lots of gravel road and once in a while highway riding.

those 2 videos in my youtube account show the easier terrain I ride. the coal hills are lots of razor sharp rocks, and the mountain are big sharp boulders, either way they both chew up a soft compound tire.

I will have to get my local yamaha shop to order me one.. if it takes a month to order a circlip for my cam I can imagine how long a new tire will take..

not sure if motosport.com delivers to Canada but if they do then they always have 952's in stock and a good price

I think for large items its better to just get them from my local shop.

shipping across the border is like 30$ for a tire, then you gotta factor in the usd/can exchange rate, so thats like 50$ more than I would pay from my shop..

dumb questions, what dimensions of a tire am I going to need? whats the difference between a 19 and 18 inch rim? whats the difference between a 110 and 120 tire, and what does that even measure? what does the 90 represent in this:

Dunlop 952 110/90/19- 11.5lb

yeah 50 more is crazy, local is better then lol

i am not an expert on the numbers so i know on dunlops website it has a chart for each tire with all that stuff and the differences, but typically the 110 would be the width, the 90 would be the height and the 18 would be size of the rim. 18 inch tires work better for trails  and nasty terrain where a 19 inch works better on the MX track. some say they can't tell a difference other can

my friend just got a cr250 last night, I went and rode it today, it has a Kenda K772 Carlsbad tire, hard/intermediate compound. and I love it, it works better in the snow than my studded tire thats missing half the screws!!

anyways, does anyone have a weight on this tire? I think im gonna get one. I had a friend order a Kenda K772 carlsbad front and rear tire today, our shop said theres none in canada right now, the soonest they can get him those tires is february 20th...
