I found this thread to be very useful.  People who complain about a mis-spelled word are probably, though not necessarily, wankers.

Thank you H-Bomb.

i guess only english majors i assume??

grammar doesn't pay my bills so it kinda takes a back seat meaning if i mispell something on an internet forum no less, i really don't care

what did bother me was i couldn't put all the tires in my first thread and have them in one post. i don't know why after the second time it just stopped letting me edit anything in the first post and/or title

oh well should have new batch of tires soon so i will weigh and add them since the grammar queens haven't made a new thread yet

I hate to be that guy, but can't a mod change the title to "their" weight if this is going to be a sticky? This place can be embarrassing.

edit- looks like that's been beat to death. Thanks for the work on ths post, it's more than I've contributed.

Thanks for the thread, helped me choose my tires. Now if there was only a link to the best price for each model. These tire vendors should add grooving for an additional $5 per.

It's no wonder that people are reluctant to put the time and effort in to do anything positive around here, because there's always a couple of guys that have nothing better to do than bitch and complain about it.

If they're (notice my correct grammar) so friggin' perfect, why don't they get off their (again) duffs and do it themselves?  That's a rhetorical question of course, because they've answered it already, THEY'RE TOO LAZY.  They'd rather just cry and moan about this thread, and completely derail it, than make any kind of a positive contribution, it's just easier.  Pathetic.  If you don't like the thread - MOVE ON.

Good work H Bomb.  Don't let the whiners get to you, you can bet their perfection ends the minute they log off of the internet...

thank you very much

my orig plan was to keep adding to the first post but for some reason the board wouldn't let me anymore after a couple times. then i couldn't go back in and fix the horrible grammar mistake.

if a mod would let me put it all in the first one i would be happy to fix it and the horrible grammar mistake too

no worries it is always a couple bad ones that ruin it for everyone.

Some new weights

Dunlop MX 71 110/80-19...12.25lbs.
Dunlop MX 71 100/90-19....very inconsistant.....3 tires 3 different weights....11.5 12.0 12.25 I sent the heavy ones back and got an 11.5 in return.

The MX 71's offer a crazy good hook up on hard pack by the way. The bridgestone 604 is also excellent but not quite the straight line drive as the MX 71's. The 604's shine when on their side knobs, bit better bite than the MX 71 there. The draw back to the Dunlop over the Bridgestone is their weight. The MX 71 front tire on hard to intermediate is excellent, prolly Dunlops best current front tire they sell.

Bridgestone 604 110/80-19...11.5
Bridgestone 604 100/90-19...10.5

Thanks. Very interesting about the inconsistent weights on the MX71 rears!

I totally agree with what you wrote about the M604 grip at high lean angles. The M604 at 12 psi gives me so much confidence to push it faster and open the throttle sooner on hard pack.  Love it.

the mods probably got tired of the stupid topic because we or i dont base my tire selection on weight!it,s performance! try a chen shing shong dong. it,s the lightest ?maybe it.ll make you faster?

I take it the idea is to have lighter tires? (Is that right? :smirk:) Never thought much about weighing tires, but now you got me interested. :p

Here is a few to add to the list.

Pirelli MXMH 454  100/90/19 - 11.6 lbs

Dunlop 952 100/90/19 - 10.3 lbs

Michelin M12 XC 90/90/21 - 8.0 lbs  (slightly heavier than whats been posted)

So far,   it looks like the 952 is the lightest 250f tire.   And the M12 XC is tied for the lightest front, maybe the lightest.

I really want to know what a Pirelli MX Extra rear weighs.
