wr 400/ 450 carb question

Ive just got hold of a 99 wr 400 that is in good nick but the slide is cracked . What i have is spare a 04 wr 450 carb. i was planning on using the wr 400 jets,in the 450 carb. Does anyone one know for sure if this a good mod or not. Has id like the hot start on the bars rather fishing around for it.
