I will be selling my 2003 WR250F when it comes in (expected the end of this month from Honda East in Ohio). I may be getting two of them so I wanted to see if someone was in need of one if they did not get on a list. I will not uncrate them if that is how I take deliver of them. It would be too tempting to fire it up and ride it.

I am located in MD near BWI airport. I would prefer pick up rather than having to ship them somewhere.

Cost I am not 100% sure at this point since I am still waiting like a lot of us.

email me at wfo_180@yahoo.com if interested

I do not check this forum that often.

If you haven't received the goods, can't you cancel the deal? :)

On one of them that is true for the other I have a non refundable deposit. Plus we just moved and I decided to keep my 2002 KTM 250 EXC RFS.

...non refundable deposit...

That's pretty unlikely, especially considering you have not negotiated a price. Unless your dealer has taken the deposit as part of an actual contract with specific terms to purchase the bike and you have specifically waived a refund in the event that you do not close the deal then you can (and should) just go get your money back.

Unless you are anticipating making a profit on turning the bikes over to subsequent buyers, it does not make any sense for you to be involved in the deal at all. Give the next guy on the list a break, JMHO.

I have a 02 KTM 250 RFS and it is considerabily slower than my 01 WR 250 F and my 03 YZ 250 F. The only place where the KTM may be bettet than the Yamahas is in the rocks, because it is more stable, has slower steering, and is heavier. I am only giving you my experences in case you may want to give the Yamaha a second look.

I really appreciate your post. This is perfect since you have the same bike I have. Have you ridden the 03' WR yet? I have ridden several of my friends 01-02' WR250Fs (from stock to wild) and I still like the KTM ergonomics, layout, and how the bike feels in the nasty stuff. I race mostly harescrambles. I am about 5'10" and 165 lbs.

The WRs are fast as hell that is for sure. Any input you have is much appreciated.

Thanks

The KTM 250 RFS is a sweet bike, but how do you plan on hanging with Dr.Funk680 if you decide to sell the WR?

So what do you think? We ride together all of the time should I keep the KTM or sell it and keep one of the new 03 WRs? Man I need to read a detailed test. :)

The truth? I'd hang on to the KTM.

Don't get me wrong, I love my YZ250f. But with a new house and all, I'd sell the WR and save the $$$.

The KTM is already set up the way you want it. With the WR, you have the price of the bike and another $500 in extras to cough up.

Your wife will love you for it and if you change your mind later, you'll be able to find another one.

Just my 2 cents.
