Is it worth buying the Clarke mfg yz seat/tank combo for my
2001 WR250F. I was also reading about the Power Now post-airbox flow in the January 2003 Dirt Rider and was wondering if anyone has tried it and will it work on my wr250f
Thanks Robb

The YZF tank/seat combo is a must do mod in my opinion, unless you need the longer range of a big tank. If you need the range an aftermarket tank like IMS or Zip-Ty is still and improvment over the stock WR tank which is too tall and too wide IMHO for cornering.

I have the stock YZF tank made by Clarke and a One Industries gripper seat. Both bolted right up with no problems at all. Looks great, rides awesome!

Have not done powernow but many indicate it improves starting, off idle bog and low RPM performance. Its on my list. Also, I have seen recent posts about doing a free powernow mod. Do a search on the JamesNow mod.

Dont know about power now, but the YZ tank/seat is the best mod I have done to my '01 WR426. The thing turned like a Sherman tank before and now it actually handles like a reasonably nimble dirt bike.

I have the Power Now on my 02WR250 and it does make a difference down low to mid. I would reccomend getting it especially for $75 US dollars. I also have the ACHERBIS tank and SDG seat and it also improves the overall ridability. Fatigue in races or on long rides happen less due to the position on the bike and associated handling characteristics. I compared my 01 WR 400 stock seat/tank and my "natural" riding position was not centered over the pegs. This made considerable difference with the aftermarket seat/tank combo. Opinion? Both mods are worth it. If only one is in the pocket book I would go with the Power Now.
