I have a 2000 Yamaha YZ 426, and now that its winter its been running funny. Today it started up fine but when i started riding around in the snow i looked down and my head pipe was glowing red hot. Is this normal? If not, what should i do?

It is normal, but it may be being aggravated by the fact that the cold weather makes the bike run a little lean.

Going richer on the jetting. You can first take a look at the pilot screw adjustment and then if that doesn't help going richer on the pilot jet. How does the bike run? You have the manual right?

This may help>>> http://www.thumperta...ad.php?t=694915

LOL. I grew up in Michigan. Brrrr this time of year. I just go up one on the main jet and then adjust the fuel screw to its happy place. That usually takes care of it.
