Any reason I can't change my 2006 WR450 frame to a 07 or 08? The motor points should be the same. Am I missing anything here? Thanks all

Check out this month's issue of Dirtbike magazine. Zipty racing won their 24-hour race at GlennHelen with an '06 motor in an '07 frame.

they took all the electric start stuff off. I don't know any of the details, but they might be able to answer a lot of your questions.

'06 oil tank is in the frame, I think it is in the motor on an '07......

I think the 07 is still a dry-sump motor, the oil tank is underneath the motor.

and the 06 isn't dry sump? i didn't know they made any wet sump wr450's .

sounds like if you get the 07 frame you will have to get the oil tank as well .
