Looks really good! I shot a lot at Elsinore when I still lived down there. A couple things come to mind, and bear in mind, these are solely my opinion:

1. I try to shy away from shots taken directly from the side of the rider. It just doesn't really show a lot of action, in my opinion.
2. I would back up from the subjects a little more and use more of that focal length. Try and take most of your shots at or around 200mm. This will make it harder to focus due this shorter depth of field, but it will create a background that is much more blurry which will further emphasize the subject. I have shot with the Canon L-Series 70-200mm before (in Colorado) and the difference was unbelievable. I try to squeeze every bit of telephoto out of my 28-135mm, but as you can see, 135mm at f/5.6 can only do so much in terms of blurring the background.

Here are a few of my favorite shots from Elsinore. Sorry for all of the black and whites. It's all I have uploaded to my photobucket. Please critique/share your opinion.

Hey, thanks for your opinion on the images. As for the border.

Crop any size as long as its 2:3 or 3:2
Resize longest part of image (horizontal, or verticle) from 600-900px
Select>all
Select>Modify>contract>7px
Select>Inverse
New Layer
Fill with what ever color your little heart disires.

I use photoshop cs3. I figure elements might be the same:bonk:
