I am a cop here in Broward County and I was actually trained by Deputy Ackers when I went to radar school! I have been in front of that judge many times and she is way cool. I hope I catch that little bastard...he is an *******! I hope he runs from me and wipes out severing his head off that stupid fire plug body!

Just another stereotypical "Gixxer Rider". What is it with these guys? He must be from long island or NYC because every other gixxer squid acts just like him. And it is not hard to overcome the top speed governer programmed into todays bikes. I know a shop that does it for the street racers around here. For a small fee of course. And the first Busa's were not governed and would break 200mph with a one tooth smaller rear sprocket. I believe they were regularly clocked at 192-196 mph depending on head wind and track temp. On the street it is a different story but still possible.

Hey is it true that in Florida potential police officer candidates arent required to take a psych exam before appintment? Is it also true that you are only considered a police officer in the surrounding county of your employment and have limited if any police powers elsewhere in the state? You should think before you talk because your words can be taken out of context and used against you. If you ran into this fellow on the street and something happened to him this post could put you in a crapload of trouble. If IAD would get a hold of your thumpertalk records, they could probably prove you disliked the guy before meeting him and also prove you had intent to harm this guy. Just letting you know.:thumbsup:

I know all the issues with stock speedos.... I clocked my old bike on a GPS, the speedo read something higher, but I don't remember the number. And it was over a period of 8 or so miles with the GPS registering top speed.

I'm with you guys!!! I enjoy twisties much more than any fast straight away BS. In fact, here in CA we have "Palomar Mtn". A place I loved each and every Saturday. Leather up, and hit the fun stuff.

Our straight line speeds were calculated on a long stretch of highway in the deserts outside San Diego. Busas don't do too bad at all with the right guy on them.... definitely take a little more work than even a great steering bike like my old CBR929. But hey, it was a fun bike.... as you see (below);

Speeding: $200 + court costs

New fairing: $500

Showing off, eating asphalt and making the news. Priceless.

172 indicated isnt 172 anyway. All bikes have about a 5-8% error on the speedometer. No production motorcycle goes over 200mph. No bikes will display over 186 indicated, top indicated speed of busas were at 198 (prob about 175 actual) and speedo stops at 186mph.
So in short, a busa wont ever see over 200 actual unless it's a drag bike.

And as for "Gsxrs are the best streetbike thats why everyone has them"....haha no. They are nice yeah but not the best..and this is coming from someone who has an 05 and 07. Modern supersports are so close there is no best...its just like the 450 discussion. The GSXR is seen as the "squid" bike since all the kids go and and buy them to be a stunta, even though real stunters dont even use them (hello 636 and F4i). I love the Daytona 675 WAY more than my 07 GSXR, but the Zuki is still a good bike, just like all of the other jap bikes

dont remember where. i saw this on speed channel. they took a bone stock busa out to the utah salt flats, taped over the headlights adn removed the mirrors to make it as streamlined as possible and sent it out. it did 203 miles an hour stock using highly sophisticated radar. so yeah im going to say taht to busa does see 200,

Uhm, they don't??? I got smoked at 172mph on my CBR929... by a Busa, like I was standing still. Claimed top speed I thought was over 200?! ... am I off base? thinking otherwise?

---------------------

Holy hell that video is the funniest thing since I met a guy like him. Went down on the first ride in the twisties, but still claimed it was the bikes fault. To do it 3 more times in the month (crash that is).

squids are great entertainment. :thumbsup:

the 99 model did 199 indicated.....00-current was restricted to 186

I thought so... as that would be about my era on a crotch rocket, and I knew those things hauled the mail (straight line of course). And with higher gearing... they really pushed the 200+ mark from what I remember.

... thanks for the factual info.:thumbsup:
