Took my Yammie 07 WR 450 for revalve and respring to George at ESP and just got it back in only 3 days. Just want to say what a great guy he is who does a good job at a fair price. As I was setting the sag today and going over what he did for me with him, he noticed a problem with my Scott's dampener and spent 20 minutes fixing it at no charge. This is the kind of service that does not exist anymore. Any of you who need suspension work or any other work for that matter see him in La Crescenta (greater LA area).

In that order? I'd do it in reverse as I prefer them clean before I get it on!:smirk:
Oh, and another shout-out for George. He's done all three of my bikes.

There are lots of good tuners out there that are as good or better.
If I were riding a Honda, I would go to Precision Concepts, they have done years of R&D with Honda offroad.
ACME susp was the man when it came to KYB's, too bad he recently passed away.
It really depends on your needs and your ability, but I prefere a tuner who actually tests his work.
Just keeping it fair and balanced.

just out of curiosity, why did you go back to ESP with your second yzf if u didnt care for it on your first bike?

Because I had returned from a 18 year sabbatical from riding and really wasn't up to date with the tuners, I should have done more homework. Shortly after I had my YZ450 done (3rd bike) I met Javier w/Trail Tricks, he re-valved my forks and they were much better. It turned out ESP had only slightly shimmed my base valve, so they were harsh in the mid stroke, not what I want for off road.
Now I have a KTM and it is plush for racing and all around. different methods of tuning work for different riders. I prefer TT for my KTM over ESP, and I have ridden his stuff on KTM's.
Again, ESP has a great reputation, but George is primarily a track guy not an off road purist.

Can't answer that, I just know what works better for me. And like I said in my previous post, I would entertain other tuners based on the bike I was riding. But I'm not here to defend a specific tuner, just suggest there are other good tuners.
Having said that, Javier DOES stand behind his work and will make it right, it's just he is a one man show and might not be as quick as ESP who has employees doing a lot of his work.

I have used RG3 for my last 2 bikes. Been very happy with them and they do the same thing. If not happy, bring it back for some fine tuning. Being 3 miles from my house is a benefit:smirk:
