I know California City will be a zoo over Thanksgiving weekend. How busy is it usually in the Red Mountain area during this time? Teagle Wash or Charlie's Place?

I am hoping to find a "less crowded" place to camp and ride . . Any feedback?

I camped on Cuddeback over New Years last year, and was suprised how empty it was. I'm sure it will be the same on Turkey Day. Anywhere in the open areas will be filled, so if you don't want crowds, stay away.

I dont quite understand the crowd complaints.I've been going to OW for years now and was there last thanksgiving.Ya,there are alot of people camping and riding out there, but there is soooooo much desert out there that you can find your own private place to camp. You can ride for miles and only see a couple of other bikes etc.I like to camp off the SR22 which has become much more populated over the years, but is still a nice place to be!Point being that if you dont want crowds, drive a little further down the road and you'll find your own slice of heaven:thumbsup: Now Glamis, thats another story. There aint no escaping the crowds there on a holiday weekend:ride:

lots of people in the popular pkaces. Since they started cracking down at JB and Dove Sp the number of people has doubled in the Teagle Charlies area, Football field and Prospecters has been crowded for years.

Been goin to OW the last couple years ,yea ,lots of bikes ,etc,,but no biggy . I enjoy it too much to complain about others like myself (thats a scary thought) ...Going to Razor (sp?) Rasor, whats its place lol . A friend been going there the last 5 years and swears it gets little pressure ,so what the heck....now watch 1.5 million show up:smirk:

The nice thing about Spangler is get about 2-3 miles away from camp and the crowds are not a problem.
