i want to test throttle play, but it keeps dumping gas in the cyl

how do i make this stop..i keep giving throttle, while engine off, so that i can test my zip-tie mod (throttle play)..
but im afraid ill drown the engine in gas..
how do i disconnect the gas from the carb so that when i play with the throttle it doesnt dumb fuel in the cylinder?

Pull the fuel line off either the tank or carb and you can fiddle with it all you want without flooding the engine.

I know the OP is done with the zip-tie mod now, but thought I'd say this anyway...

I'd disconnect the fuel line at the carb, cause then you can also drain the excess fuel out of the carb, before you shoot it into the engine...:thumbsup:

Why not just start the bike when trying/experimenting ?
