Well, at least below sea level!!!

A recent trip to Death Valley confirmed that my bike may be jetted better for riding in Atlantis than in the Inland Empire :) At 200 feet below sea level the bike ran like a bat out of Hell. Finally, I see why everyone raves about the 440/FCR.

440 built by Eddie, stock exhaust, 39mm FCR from TT, jetted the way it came in the box (160 main??).

I was content with the bike, but now that I know it can be faster, I must rejet. Good time to put in an extended fuel screw as well.

Wish I knew of a good moto-dyno guy around my parts (Ontario/Upland area, Southern California).

I'm running a 158mj in mine, works great, at least at sea level.

Your exhausts will anyway be a limit, and with a bb ,there's even more volume needing to get through than on std bore.

If you find one, let me know. I'm next door in Rancho Cucamonga / Fontana.

Part of the reason might also be that there are more particles of oxygen in the air than at any higher altitude, which I am guessing would help with combustion.:prof:

Yeah, but if it wasn't jetted for the denser air, then it would run more crappier, no?

I'll try a 155.

Thanks,

Gabe

Eddie for my "E" model that has a stock bore size you recommended a .48 pilot and a 160 main.... the bike seems to be way rich. my bike is stock other than full rs-3 exhaust with screen in and 3x3. i live at sea level as well.

should i rejet? i have been thinking about going to a bike dyno but they are far away.... i might just borrow a SM rear wheel and head over to my buddies car dyno.

back on topic..... yeah my 160 main seems way rich at sea level... i bet mine would run better under water as well...ahahaha.

cause my tag is black, and the bike seems to be down on power. when it had a 145 jet the plug looked good..... i haven't pulled it yet to look at it now but it seems fouled as now the bike hardly starts when cold. you built this bike for my friend
i might borrow his rear wheel and put it on a dyno....... or do you have any suggestions how to mount a wideband to my bike? i have a LM-1 that i use to tune my car with.

cant jet by plug color.

your bike is probably rich on antother circuit beside main jet.

having a bung installed on your head pipe isnt a big deal than you can use the lm-1.

can dyno drum is way to heavy to use for a motorcycle.
