Anybody know if someone makes a dual caliper bracket for the drz 400 sm? Know they are made for a lot of sport bikes to mount two rear calipers. Appreciate any tips on this..

Yes, its for using a separate brake pump on the bars for the rear brake. Know that there are adaptors for this, but have heard the brake goes "soft" when using them and that a separate caliper is the way to go to perfect this.

Looks like a special caliper mount would have to be milled.

I know you're worried about the brake being "soft" with the adaptor kit and 2 banjo fittings, but is that such a bad thing? You're not trying to lock it up...

You can get one more and have it welded like ths one. http://www.sporthoj....14&d=1140639925 Or buy or fabricate an adapter like this one. http://www.sporthoj....09&d=1166397323

Thanks Julle74!. But the standard caliper bracket is made from some sort of cast aluminium, Can you weld that and get it reliable? Would probably be the easiest way to go...

The bracket is done now. Was a lot of work with the poor cheap machine i had available for milling.. probably took me 40-50 hours:) Hope the snow outside goes away soon so i can testride:) Not sure how to add photos here, but this link has some pictures of the process and the finished result. Just click on the picture to get the next one. http://bike.no/proje...age.php?id=5977

The adapter works fine with my hand brake setup with the single . Full Throttle Inc has a kit , but I would suggest getting a raidial master cylinder tho . Also braided lines help with the feel too ! You a Stunter ??? Geared up yet ??? You can probably put together a better setup for cheaper with a bit of research . Let me know how it goes buddy ;-)

If you click the link i have added before you will see that i milled my own bracket this winter :) Using a 1/2" brake pump on the bars i thought the feeling was not so good.. very hard on the lever.. So now i have fitted the adaptor from fullthrottle, and connected both calipers in same circuit :) Very nice brake on the lever, but very easy to lock up using the pedal. But i am very happy with this.. Wheelie till subframe touches and no problem to put it down with one finger on the brake lever :) standard gear is 15/41 I ride with 13/49 which works good for stunting :)

Man I need one of those brackets ! One caliper for the foot and one for my handbrake would suit me well . I have to two finger my lever , which sucks when I try stalls . Upgrading rotors as we speak . Then $$$ calipers next hopfully that gets me less arm pump untill I can get a bracket . Do you have any video out ? Like to see anther drz stunted
