Still looking for a little nicer seat for my DRZ400S. The Corbin is too pricey for me right now. I noticed the DR650 might be a little wider where I need it. Will the 650 seat fit on my DRZ400? Thanks for any input. c good

No, it will not fit.

I went through the same gyration on my DRZ400S, and after a few hundred miles of the stock seat I am staying stock. There are days I can cuss it, but when most riding is a solid 60% mud and sticks, that narrow stock seat is a lifesaver.

My buddy rides a DR 650. Yes the seat is a little wider but is not nearly as comfortable as the 400 seat. Gives you monkey bum in half the time.

greatdaytoride.com $75 plus shipping both ways.

I don't know why it isn't automatic to think of them. Transformed my seat.

Also, I don't think the DR650 seat would have a chance of fitting on there, would it?

Yeah, but i don't have a DRZ yet, I had them work up the seat on my DR350, and it is WORLDS better. I can sit on it for hours now, no pain or discomfort at all, unless I am wearing jeans and cotton underwear. Different matter there though.
Seriously, the only cheaper way to go about it is doing it yourself, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Not only is it inexpensive, it looks better than what I have tried, he even used the cover I sent in, which was something I made from JoAnn Fabrics. It looks terrific, and feels even better.
Can't say enough good things about the job he did.

I am not a shill though, I swear. I just don't have much to say about other things, as I have done only so much so far. Ha ha!

Unpossible. [Seriously, there are seats worse than the stock DRZ's???]

I've been riding motocross for 20 years, so maybe I have calluses in the right places. I honestly don't find the DRZ seat that bad. Don't get me wrong, if i ride for a while on the road I'll feel it. I do mostly trail riding and just back and forth to work which is a 10 minute ride. Our trails are pretty ragged so you're standing 50% of the time.

But the DR650 seat, way worse, no doubt about it.

I had the same issues with my SM seat. Anything over 100km gets uncomfortable for me, so I ordered the Sweet Cheeks. If you're unfamiliar with the Sweet Cheeks, it's basically a piece of canvas that you place over the seat and stuff it with two 2L pop bottles. It sounds a little strange and looks even weirder, but it works. Plus you can take it off whenever you're not going on a long ride. You can find the ordering information on this thread.
