ive been playing on sportbikes for a bit, but now want to get back to something that i can play off road with. question is regarding the sm suspension. someone said that it was no good for offroad. my goal is to have 2 sets of rims and tires, one for street(stock) and another for offroad(full knobbies). it is hard to get anything offroad licenced for the street, so this would be the happy medium. any comments suspension wise or otherwise??
sm suspension question??

I think the SM fork is valved more aggressive than the S fork, so it may feel a bit harsh at times off road. For most riders its no big deal.

I think the SM suspension has a higher ride hight than the S or E

I have an SM with a set of dirt wheels. The SM suspension works great in the dirt. Just back off the dampning adjusters to make the ride smoother. The S/E forks are more flexible and when not properly set up they can still feel okay whereas with the more ridgid SM forks if you have them set up too stiff they will feel too stiff. Too each their own but I would rather have a stiffer chassis and then set it up so it works right.
