'01 wr426 smokes when first started

My bike smokes when first started when it's cold. I'm thinking it needs valve seals, maybe new piston and rings.

Has anybody experienced this on thier 426?

Gotta get to fall on this bike, then a new one is in the picture.

Has the bike ever been underwater? I had this happen when I dumped mine on a deep river crossing. It smoked for a little whle, but only on start up, then it stopped

Make sure you dont over oil your air filter.

What color is the smoke.The bike will smoke a little with the choke on.

Mine does the same but only when the choke is on. It's a white smoke.
