I drove through Yosemite last week on my way to the Mammoth MX. It looks like a god damn forrestry junk yard!! There is so much dead wood on the ground and scrubby underbrush that it's not even pretty anymore. I don't know what anybody thinks they are accomplishing with this approach, it's very poor forrestry.
