O.K....I bought my fine running 01'426 a few months ago and ever since it's been getting colder here in the desert, it's taken more and more kicks to start it until now, it won't start at all. I did change the 2 month old plug (which was black and a little oily), but it didn't help.

I've read several threads on hard-to-start bikes, but would like to get some advice on what 4 or 5 things to check first.

A little direction please. :)
