Not to beat a dead horse, but I just saw the heat race on ESPN2 with the Carmichael/Pastrana incident. RC did nothing wrong, that is obvious to anybody that has ever raced a bike. Had Pastrana stayed wide he would have never gone down. RC was just holding his line, he never even looked at Pastrana. Only a complete idiot would think that move was dirty.

I totally agree with you. I get so angry at thoose who are booing at Ricky! If u are a true MX rider u don´t boo at something like that. I mean it was only normal racing that was going on. If there is someone who should get booed it´s Travis. I mean, that kid needs to start looking ahead, not on his front fender. Look at when he crashed in to Larocco.
I´m geting tired of see him go down. (sorry all travis fans) :)

I'm waiting for LaRocco to "lose it" on Travis. I know it's unintentional, but it's gotta be an issue with Mike. It would be histerical if Mike showed up at a main event with a big target on his back that said something like, "Travis' preferred landing pad!" Travis needs to settle down a little, so he can get some points. He's fast until he takes out LaRocco.

well......Larocco went down where oncoming riders wouldn't be able to see him until they were right on him. That one was in no way Patrana's fault, Byrne and Tedesco also fell victim to that crash based on where Laracco went down. That was a very uncharateristic miscue by Laracco.

I loved Hannah's comments on the RacerX web site, MXA had a pretty good article/interview with Bob as well. Ricky was just holding his line which Travis can't seem to do.

I like Travis as much as anybody but he did gas it. If he wouldn't have he would have prob. stayed upright.
I will aslo agree that Travis would have been hard pressed to miss "The Rock". Oh well, did you all notice how tough the track was?? In the 125 class everyone was crashing like crazy!!!

I guess I didn't see things the same way that everyone else did - Carmichael is the one who got out of shape when the rear end of his bike jumped out as he hit the throttle coming out of the turn - everyone's being a little hard on Travis - the impact with Larocco was not Travis's fault in any way and I'm still of the opinion the previous crash with that put Larocco was not his fault - Larocco was the one who screwed up the rythym when he didn't triple the last set of jumps. I'm sure everyone here has been in the situation where a rider in front does something unexpected and contact usually follows. Lighten up on Travis, he has shown he has the talent and the speed to run with Ricky and he is only trying to charge his way past slower riders on his way to the front.

uh.....RC's bike got sideways coming out of the turn because he was dragging Pastrana's front tire along, watch the tape. I'm not coming down on Pastrana, I'm just pointing out that it was not a dirty move by RC.

Also, when Travis block-passed Ricky earlier in the heat, RC laid off the throttle or he would have clipped Travis, too. If Travis had done the same, he wouldn't have tangled with RC. I like them both, in fact the only rider I don't like is Vuillemin because of his "personality".

Actually with the incident with Pastrana hitting Larocco would have never happend had the flag man been paying attention. He was busy looking back up the track instead of paying attention to the area he was supposed to be watching. :)

Yeah, ricky's rear end only got sideways after travis's front wheel got lodged in Ricky's footpeg. notice ricky's right foot came off the peg (from having a sudden 220 lb. wheel into it), which would cause him to lose his counterbalance, making the rear spin out.

Travis should have delayed his acceleration. If you noticed Travis's pass on Ricky, ricky started to come down, shifts his weight, and turns the wheel back up the hill to avoid collecting Travis's rear wheel. This is what Pastrana didn't do. It was the Passee's fault, not the passers.

but yeah, I want to see travis get a few wins here...he kid has had no luck after his first year.

As far as LaRocco, the flagger was way too far down the jump for them to be able to see where the crash was. And, if you look, he only clipped Mike's boots/legs. He moved over quite a few feet, just ran out of room. The other guys plowed right into them. Had it not been for travis collecting Mike, and making the bike be in the way, the other two would have DRILLED mike right in the middle and possibly hurt him.

Their heat race last night in PHX was good too.
