does any one have the pipe guard by e-line for after market head pipe w/o mounting tabs , like the power bomb? If so, does it also come around and protect your pants. :)

Eline only makes one to fit the stock pipe I think which is what I have. Are you saying they make another type now?

If not can't you just get nuts welded on a bracket so the one like I have fits. Also it comes within 3+1/2" of where pipe mates to cylinder. Stops just where pipe begins to straighten. 17+1/2" long.
About 3+1/4 wide. Extends 3+1/4 also beyond rear stock mounting bracket. Good coverage.

Wonder how it mounts then? Hose clamps? I think I'd rather have mounts welded on if thats possible and use the eline for stock pipe?

Ask them to email or post a pic on T.T.

Dear Friends
Yes E Line does make carbon fibre head pipe guards for aftermarket pipes without heat schield mounts.I know this because I had a hand in the development of a FMF powerbomb head pipe C/F guard because I really hated burning my pants on the nonprotected head pipe. The guard mounts with very nicely made aluminun split clamps that have an interlock fit on one end and a allen head bolt on the other end. there are two clamps on the schield and it is full length coverage in that it stretches from the very front of the head pipe all the way to where the pipe disappears behind the frame rail.It looks really cool and works great I have had absolutely no problems with this product and have used it extensively for 4 months, recomended.Cheers

I take it then it covers better then the one for stock header because mine does not go all the way to the cylinder end of head pipe. 3 and 1/2" short like I stated. Doesn't extend that far to the rear either.

Whats the full length of it then?

Does that mean the original one is improved and they lengthen it also? If not - why? So for 9.00 more you get the split clamps and a little better coverage then the 1st guard. Wonder if I can trade mine in? :)

Thank you.
