What other groups can be joined to support our rights to ride? Blue Ribbon, AMA who else???

I now here in CA it is getting more difficult to ride places. Are there local groups who are fighting on our side that can be joined? What about else where in the country? I certainly know that most of my friends who ride don't bother to research and join these types of groups and I am constantly trying to get them to open their eyes and at least contribute with small donations. I'm sure most people here are active so lets start a post of all the groups that help keep our trails open so people can research and join the ones they like.

Funny, I asked myself the same question yesterday and joined the Blue Ribbon Coalition. I also joined SDORC (http://www.sdorc.org). They seem to be fighting the local battle in SoCal. Any other suggestions? I have no trouble parting with money to fight this battle.

Sweet. I'm going to check them out too. It seems most places will allow you to donate like ten bucks or something which is a small price to pay to ride.

I hope this list grows to name a bunch of groups to look into.

If you look into your local offroad race series and join one of their clubs you can make a diffrence locally. You don't have to be a racer to join a club. These clubs work hand in hand with the BLM and Forest Circus doing clean up activities and such.

John and I both joined the Blue Ribbon Coalition. We also are AMA members and we respond to the email and mail out requests to government organizations and elected officials. I feel I am doing the right thing by teaching John to be involved and to care about what the government is doing with the peoples land and our taxes.

I am too. In California, we need to especially stay in touch with all the issues. I also joined the AMA. The Blue Ribbon Coalition did a lot to help in NOT banning jet skis on the Lake Mead, Lake Mohave and Lake Powell areas. The 2 strokes will eventually be banned but it won't be for another 10 years.
