Definately keep them repacked. A lot of guys at my local track dont have their's repacked and they are bloody loud! BUT sound completely awesome!:worthy: :D

If you run them too long with burned out packing you run the risk of burning a hole through the side of the can and ruining the silencer. This is more likely with titanium and carbon fiber cans, but still happens with aluminum cans. A packed silencer also performs much better than one with burned out packing, often yielding 1-2 more horsepower than a burned out one (that's right, an aftermarket pipe with burned out packing will perform worse than a freshly packed stock exhaust).
