I'm getting ready to ditch my STOCK '08 YZ450 (shorty exhaust) and I'm opting for the Pro-Circuit w/spark arrestor.... My question is: How much power difference between the non-spark arrestor version and the one with a spark arrestor??? TI-4 GP System is the one I'm looking at...

If the difference is simply the presence or absence of a spark arrestor, it should make no real difference at all. I can't notice any change on MY DRD's with the sparky in or out.

the spark arrestor really does not affect power, the one that does is the quiet insert, that can rob up to 15%hp

i run that system.

if i take the spark arrestor out the bike is lauder. not sure if that means anything but you can hear a difference.

as for actual measuarable power, i can't tell. the 450 has more power then i need in most situations so as others have already said you wont be able to tell.

i like the quieter exhaust so i leave it in even on closed tracks when it's not required. it's not a pain to take in and out but i see no need to.

Spark arrestor screens don't have any noticeable affect on power.

Occasionally, a drop-in sparky will be made with quite a bit of overhang on the flange, reducing the outlet diameter of the muffler. The "quiet" insert/sparky combo for the old WB R4 pipes were like that. These will affect power more than sound, but very few makers build them like that anymore.
