2003 wr 450 starter idle gear removal

hi all , to save any hassle n after reading lots i`ll just kickstart mine , but i read i have to remove the starter idle gear to prevent any troubles on starting and breaking of parts , have looked about but can`t locate a pic of the said part i gotta remove , any links to any pics please , cheers for all the info

The little round cover on the left houses the idler. Remove the gear, shaft and washer, then reinstall the cover.
