I drove all the way to Maine from CT for the NESC race this weekend, only to find my YZ450f wouldn't start. I swapped out the sparkplug cap with another one from a working bike, disconnected the kill switch, changed the plug, and still no spark. Fellow racers are thinking stator.....Anyone have a similar experience, and how difficult is the stator to replace?

The stator will almost replace itself for you. Test the continuity before you go in after it.

You'll need to remove the tank to access the connector, then remove the left side crankcase cover. The stator bolts into it.
