It has come time to grease the steering head bearings on the XR6, is there anything special I need to know?

What type of grease is best?

How tight do I tighten the stering stem nut and what size is it?

I will also be changing the fork oil and bought 7.5 wt. My buddy said stock was 10 wt., but the shop said to use the 7.5 wt. What do you think?

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Ryan

I usually go with marine grease on my bearings. Just in case I get carried away with the pressure washer. I also tear the bike down to the frame every couple of years for a good cleaning and grease job.

As for the torque and oil stuff, no idea since I sold my 600 last year for a BRP.
