Damn it won't let me give you gas on this post. I'll try and find another of yours to add it to 'cause you deserve it!

Just been looking at th 1990 CR's and it seems they all have pretty much the same rolling stock (rims, hubs, swingarms, brakes, fork etc)

Do you know if they would have actually been the same or very similar?  Reason being I'm after a sprocket & discs for the CR gear on my special but I'm not sure exactly which model.  Hoping the sprocket fitment will be the same as I have a 45t on order to suit CR125R (the one fitted was 49 if that helps?)

The 500s' have now been revived or remade to be Service Hondas, excellent machines and blend an excellent motor with new style machines.

I sure like mine.

And it appears to be the lightest weight Honda tiddler ever made. 193 lbs. vs. the huge weight gain in 2004..... I doubt it...... :busted:

It shows the same stats for the 85 from 04 to 05 but I am pretty positive there was a change.  The piston for those two model years has a different part number. I think they changed the bore along with some other stuff to give it smoother power.

The 1985 CR250 Fork Boots ARE NOT Black! They are BLUE!

This site is not very accurate on some models.

On the info given on those pages, it says the 85 CR 250 has blue fork boots and the picture shows the same.  You must be looking at something different?  It says the 84 fork boots were black and shows black pictured.  Maybe you looked at 84 accidentally thinking it was 85?

It seems we are both correct! I went back and looked and sure enough, he mentions the color twice... LOL Once its blue and then he says its black.

# It came in Flash Red
# The Honda wing decal was red, white, and blue
# The "250" tank decal was red and blue
# The fork boots were blue
# Even the "PRO-LINK" swingarm decal was blue
# The tank shroud was red while the number plate panels were white
# The gas tank was plastic
# The fork boots were black

Maybe one is a European model.  Because the other picture is a little different.  It has black fork boots and talks about using the FIM type side plates which are the yellow.  So, it sounds like rather than distinguishing between two different models of the same year, it is just listed all together.

the exaust flange was cast into the cylinder in 05, the piston did change silightly, i think the window in it changed a bit but stats wise they didn't change one bit

also moterera is not the most accurate, its just like many google searchers together.
but it is very useful some times even just to visually confirm things:thumbsup:
