On my 08 wr450f I noticed that the air box was leaking black oil (engine oil). I opened the side door and the bottom was full and it was slowly dripping out the side door. I could see some small spatters on the air filter. Any idea whats going on here. I cleaned it out to stop the leaking.

Probably too much oil in the motor and the crank case breather is spitting oil into the air box. At leasty i think the newer wr's are routed this way.

You have too much oil in your motor, make sure you are using the step by step procedure to change your oil - specifically draining from both plugs and removing the dipstick before draining:prof:

It's all right here -
