Haha, I love exhausts...

I am currently running an FMF factory 4.1 with a factory forward powerbomb. On my way to this combinations I tried a pro circuit, Dr. D, FMF ti-powercore, FMF MX powerbomb, FMF SX powerbomb, and an FMF megabomb. I feel what I have right now works the best for me.

KJ, was there a real big difference from the megabomb and powerbomb performance wise. I also have a 2006 yz450 with the FMF Factory 4.1 w/ Powerbomb header but was curious on the megabomb:thinking:

The SX powerbomb and the MX powerbomb were surprisingly different. The MX powerbomb really shined in the high RPMs while the SX gave more lowend with a smooth transition. The megabomb felt very similar to the SX powerbomb with a bit more low end power. The factory farward powerbomb is the same as the SX, but in a low-boy design to put its mass put lower on the chassis.

I run CHM (bought my bike like that) It's loud and obnoxious, plus the header rubs slightly on my radiator, as for power delivery...better than stock.

Gray,

Do you have to loosen the header to get the oil filter cover bolt off?

I have an 06yz450 and put a FMF 4.1C on it. I like the pipe alot and after putting a mega bomb on and a fresh repack, I got the sound out put to 96.7db. I had it tested at a State Park where I was working.

Leo Vince X-3 full system. Excellent build quality, reasonably quiet, and a nice improvement over stock power. Tuneable with different inserts and a sparky.

FMF TiPowerCore 4 with the spark arrester/quiet insert. Slight enhancement of power over stock, but lighter, quieter, and has that spark arrester.

The bike is not a YZ, but the exhaust is.

'07 YZ header, '07 YZ 450f White bros E2. About the same length as the stock WR muffler. Nice deep tone while still being 96 db compliant. Made lugging/using taller gears alot easier. Powerband delivery is alot snappier off the bottom and through the midrange. Pulls alot farther than the shitty WR muffler w/ PMB insert on asphalt and I expect that to transfer to the dirt when the ground gets some moisture in it and I get a fresh rear tire.
