none of the places you listed has link for me to purchase ss steelwool.i tried finding ss steelwool on the net and no luck.there have been a couple people on TT who said they bought it at there local hardware store.i know none of hardware stores from redwood city to san fransisco sell stainless steel steelwool.i used to use it to pack my 2-smoke silencers along time ago but i cant remember where i used to get it.i think maybe the guys that said they bought it at there local hardware store were full of sh!t.

Try calling Cherokee Steel 1-800-729-0334 in Atlanta. They are one of my vendors. They handle all types of steel.

freestyle;
Just a suggestion, but try the dish detergent area of grocery stores. I have seen S.S. pot scrubbers there that are nothing more than coarse steel wool...

I wasn't talking about SOS pads (we all know how badly they rust when left next to the sink). My wife has a SS fist-sized scrubber much like the plastic ones (for teflon pans), purchased just because it won't rust. I think it is a commercial one I got while working for a food-service supplier. But it sounds like you found what you need, so the point is mute. Keep us posted on the results.

BTW: these folks have exactly what you want, as for retail availability...?

I just did a search for the company that made the steel wool I have in my shop. They make lots of different S.S. wool for various applications.

Freestyle..
check one of the other sites i gave you, or search under stainless steel mesh, maybe you can wrap the mesh (they have different sizes) around the finer stuff to keep it more contained...
