Let's see motorcycles, riding on all kinds of surfaces:ride: your choice of what you ride:thumbsup: just don't be loud:blah: then there's food, bonfire, beer, and a couple hundred friendly people who are interested in the same sport I am. No that couldn't be any fun at all.

:D

Yes, we have a guy that can count to 20 that is keeping track of that for the club- :)

This is new for this year in District 16- it is based on participation and not competative per event- kinda show up and finish or not. I think there is a poker run randomness that settles the ties.

You have to be an AMA Member and a District 16 AMA member to "compete" for Dualsport points...you only have to be an AMA member to simply ride the BigWoods 200- just so no one gets these things confused...

here's the schedual:
2008 D16 Road and Dual Sport
Referee: Nancy Liebnow
PR= Roker Run, DS= Dual Sport Ride
Date Info Club/Promoter Location
May
3 PR Madison M/C Madison
4 PR Kettle Moraine Sp Rid West Bend
31 DS WI Dual Sport Rdrs Wabeno
June
1 DS WI Dual Sport Rdrs Wabeno
September
27 DS WI Dual Sport Rdrs Wabeno
28 DS WI Dual Sport Rdrs Wabeno
October
12 PR Madison M/C Madison
19 DS Kettle Moraine SP Rid West Bend
January
1 PR Madison M/C Madison
2009 event!

for more info on the other events contact that club: Madison MC and Kettle Moraine, and for more info on D16 points and membership- click this...

that aside,
The ride is comming up soon - if you want to ride this year sign up!!

Hope to see some old and new faces soon,
Brad

I promise to have the poker run crap figured out before I head up there for the BW200!:)

Be advised that some of those events listed are road riding poker runs, not dual sport events.

In that schedual I posted yes: PR is poker run, DS is dual sport- they are grouped together by district 16 as "ROAD", and I believe that you get points for riding either event type so if you have a ADV bike and complete poker runs and a DS bike and do Dual Sports you should be able to collect points for all of them and get credit (can't "win" if you don't play")- I do not believe D16 has PR and DS separate in terms of point counting. Contact D16 for more info on that... NANCY L... is the Referee/ Points Keeper for "Road". But the finite details of all that is not a WIDSR issue as much as letting people know its existance and that attendance to the BIGWOODS 200 pays points towards it.

Just come ride the BIGWoods, you get a T-shirt and a steak if you sign up and show up- clearly if you add motorcycle, trail, steak, then beer- consecutively: its a good time: that's all you need to say.

 all rumors.

just a second let me get that fishing hook outa my mouth....

Yea its a great group of guys, well... for the most part:busted: you have to ride the thing a few times to make sure it is set up- so riding with a group of guys of simular interests- is a good time. Sure it can be alot of work- and we need guys that plan to work before play but its all fun if you like woods and appreciate what is being done. If you want to help out- sing up at the website.

Well, we had a great work weekend- scouted and prooffed milage- great conditions-

Next work weekend is mainly single track/ Hero section clearing and arrowing and riding it to set the line.

The actual ride should be a blast- we keep finding more grass two track to tie into and replace gravel and ATV trail. Fun stuff.

yep- fall is here- soon it will be gone too. Ride while you can... Bring a sweatshirt to where around the camp fire... Days still shouldn't be bad- perfect if you are doing hero sections- but lets not talk about weather too much we have been very lucky the past few rides. That being said- NO ONE BRING RAIN GEAR:busted:
