Don't forget the start, a .25 mile airstrip(on asphalt) drag with a speed trap. Does anyone know who was the fastest? I know I was passed like was standing still. A couple of times, I know I hit 74mph.

Top speed was 94mph by Shane Tongsgard on a Husky 450. I got 88mph on my bike that I had geared up just for this race.

Yo Wiz
Let me know alittle about the racecourse
Let me know alittle about the racecourse
Wiz was going too fast and could not tell you anything as I am sure it was just a blur to him... he handed the rest of the Sr. A class their asses:worthy:
I on the other hand rode like a squid that has been sitting on the couch eating nothing but cheetos for the last month so I'll give it a try -
The course was nice, dust was minimal... the obstacle course was tough for the little guys, I was over their helping out during the shortcourse and started to think that team CPR might have over done it as 3rd and 4th waves were starting to get lapped before they even completed their first lap:eek: People started finding the will and lines to get through it one way or another... I know my son took a tumble off the cars. The key to the logs and rocks was momentum, the cars took momentum as well but a very light touch on the throttle as the back tire would spin easily on the hoods, the big tractor tires I hated only because you had to slow down to about 1 mph... but so did everyone else I guess
The woods were great, both MX tracks were nice... the little bit mud was nice to just get cooled down...
My worst race of the season but better than sitting home eating cheetos:thumbsup:

dude this course was a blast, youd have been smokin'.
shorty course: got a good start finally! into turn one with the front 4. ....the tires wernt so bad and the cars were fun, the rocks and logs made for traffic on lap 1 but werent so bad after that. the woods were fun and pretty fast, except when i got t-boned by some kid cutting the trees!
the blacktop was fun too, glad i hav 6gears! wish ur there bro.

ok need some help posting photos, how to?
You have to use an image hosting service like photobucket: http://register.phot...=headerregister
It's free and easy. Use the img code to post pics on TT, you'll see what I'm talking about when you are there.

Best conditions I have ever seen at Riverdale for an event. This club must have an in with the big guy upstairs. A pretty light turn out at this one. For those that missed it you missed out! I did not have my best race but I had a ton of fun!
I think the biggest issue I had was the heat and the fact I'm not in race shape. Here are a few more issues I encountered...
A bit to much moto for my taste. I could have easily traded that second moto track for single track as that was very limited. I just ain't that skilled at moto.
2nd Lap, I was entering the rock section in traffic following a guy through the best line, he stalls. So I change direction to go around on the left. Another guy goes to the right of him 3 abreast now we are all stalled. So now the only line is far right which at that point had a couple very big boulders in it and was a probable stuck. As I am trying to get under way all of a sudden I am rammed from behind so hard I land down in the dirt off the course on my back with one leg trapped under my bike. There were a bunch of spectators who saw it happen, including my wife who was yelling
words at this guy on the Kawaquacki #112. Who now was also stalled in the rocks. I guess he stopped in front of the boulder pile surveyed who was going to be the easiest to take out, than blind sided me. Course workers helped get my bike off of me and I got it started as people cheered for me go, go!! etc.... Not sure who all was cheering but thanks if you were, it really helps in a tough situation. I took off and left everyone else in the boulder patch but as I came fast approaching the steep drop off going down toward the woods I realized in a panic I had no rear brake and was going way to fast to slow down with front brakes only, I remember puckering up and smashing down at the bottom, alive and unscathed but shaken.
Pulled over and luckily it was only a rock that had wedged in there somehow during the whole boulder pile incident. But by the time I figured out what it was and got it working again everyone that was hung up in the boulders went by.
I would like to thank the course worker who went out of his way to let the trail boss and scoring know about what took place at the boulder pile. Most thought it was very unsportsmanlike. I was told they would penalize the guy if I wanted to protest it. I did not, I figured he would get his in time.
I really could have done without the tractor tires standing end on end, they were not fun in my opinion. Not hard, just impossible to ride through on the pegs cause they were too close together, I did not see anyone else ride through on the pegs.
I know I am a bit stupid, but I did not realize that the guys on the corner before you enter onto the pavement were check point workers. Well that is until I was on my 4th time around
The check point sign was way off to the left of them and I was always focused on the right hand turn going inside. They did not try to step out toward me or at least yell to let me know I was missing it. Finally on that forth lap I realized it and the worker said you always took that inside line so... but he ended up giving me 2 of the 3 marks I was owed because he saw me those other 2 times go right by, far inside. I did not protest for the third mark, because I figured I should have realized it was the check. I guess I was just so focused on charging ahead and there was never any other racers stopping there for a mark when I went by until that 4th lap. But here is a suggestion to the club, next time you have a straight leading to a turn with a check point crew on it put the check point sign on the straight leading to the corner not on the outside of the corner itself.
I was also shocked no hole punch was used for a lap count.
The east end of the course entering back into the mx track turned into a big cut the course blow through the ribbon section. No one was watching this section or repairing it and it all turned into a big straight away half way through the race. Which was too bad because it was very fun sandy loamy turns that were all about technique and line selection.
Anyhow the car section was a stoke of genius. Great idea for riders and spectators alike! The log pile and car tires also were great.
The course flowed really well and the main mx track was kept watered throughout most of event and is a very fun track even though I can only clear the doubles along the back of the track and don't even try to sky those large table tops leading to them.
The drag strip with radar was cool. 79 mph was the quickest top speed I saw out of the 300 Gasser but it still had alot left in 6th gear beyond the radar trailer.
Thanks CPR for a fun day racing!

I thought the rocks were cool although I crashed in them the first two laps, and like Roscoe, I realized as I approached the steep downill following the rocks that I lost my rear brake...whoaaaaaa!
Unfortunately my disc was bent so I had no rear brake for the rest of the race.
I loved the woods! I'll take the fast two track and nice flowing single track like that over the tight bar-lock-to-bar-lock stuff aytime.
The log section for the first lap of the short course was tough because a couple of the first logs got rolled back leaving big gaps so the riders could not carry any momentum into them...bottleneck! A course worker and I rolled them back and turned a couple of other logs perpendicular to them to butress them in place and things went much smoother after that.
The upright tire section I could have done without just because it was too tight and slow for my likes but if they were to be spread out so you could rail through them but still have to manuever then they would be sweet. Don't give up on those Brandon!
Some pics.
Here's Wiz766 (my son) in the rocks

The cars

Don't feel bad if you crashed in the rocks...this guy is a very good, very fast rider
Note how gracefully he is jumping off his bike though!
