Maybe Yamaha is too concerned with going fast and wining races. They need to concentrate on making something fun, if they hope to win bike Mag. shoot outs.

tractable power = fast.

scary power = fun.

for an MX bike they should do there shoot out bassed on lap times.

Maybe Yamaha is like me, and they don't give a rip who wins the shootouts.

I agree about lap times. Time the bike for 15 laps. Test over.

...at least offer a bike that looks cool like the kawi or ktm....

FYI I ride yamaha's and love them, just saying they need to do something in the bling department to keep up with the others in marketing, as what looks good is good to many buyers.

Seems to be alot of griping that the EFI Suzukis are hard to start also....especially after a crash/fall

My rmz450 was really easy to star when hot or after a drop. The capacitor that held the charge was still charged so it started 1 or second kick every time. The system worked out how much fuel was needed and injected it in there.

You can't remap the ecu on the suzuki? They have it locked on some kind of proprietary crap similar to cars?

They can be. there is a couple of systems availible to remap the standard ecu and then there is boxes availible that grabbed the original signal changed it and then sent it in its way.

it does look good - but the black engine cases wear out immediately and look like poop, I do not see any Excel labels on those Black wheels.....please assure me that the same powdercoat supplier for the cases is not the same for the wheels...otherwise they will look like poop after one ride also.....

Ok picture that white bike with the left radiator ripped off and the front rotor so bent it won't even turn,seat and shifter are wasted also.Got mine today and one of those days ridn did not go so well.I'll get some pics. up wed.Some stitches in my chin and 16 in my right arm pit,that hurt..

They are excel rims, I looked at them at washougal. I'm pretty sure they will always have excels which is great since they don't bend the first time you overjump something like the honda rims.
