just seems like a whole lotta MJ for stock exhaust.

Ya, that's what I thought you'd think...Elevation here is only 750' asl and ambient temps range from only 50 to 85*F usually, so the air is pretty dense. It came with a #165 stock...Removed airbox lid and screen required the #172 and DQQ needle. It actually ran a bit lean on the provided #170 (with airbox mod). I like the stock "solid state" canadian exhaust. It's perfect for a dual purpose setup and performance aint bad at all... :)
