Hey guys,

Just and fyi, there was a DNR worker up at Reiter in the lower parking area.

He was warning ORV users to stay off Reiter Rd COMPLETELY.

Said to cross the road, you have to shut the bike down, get off and walk it across.

I crossed the road just up where the lower parking ends, came up on the one side of the road after that short climb, up past the guard rail, then across the street, cruised real mellow into the parking lot and he stopped me.

He was nice about it, just a verbal warning. Said a ticket is $135 or so?

Said the sheriffs were out too.

In the 1/2 hr I was there for a break, he stopped everyone he could, but its like the wild wild west there. Worse then I remember it.

Squids on quads and clapped out dirt bikes riding around and around kicking up a boat load of dust and riding all over the place. Full tilt up and down Reiter Rd, but only in front of the parking lot. ***?

Anyway, just a heads up that they are showing a presence up there.

Personally, I think its great.

With the road closed going up, all of the insanity is packed into the lower lot where frankly I believe it belongs (actually I believe it belongs no where but if it has to be at Reiter keep it in slum pit away from the "real" users) :blah:

I think they should just blow the road just past Squid Pit permanently.

:applause: Im SOOOOO glad to hear they are lighting people up for being stupid. I havent been to reiter for years because of the trash (on and off of ORV's)

Glassman25 was telling me that last weekend he and his brother witnessed a cuff and stuff, they (the Sheriff) had arrested one of the squids who's quad was a little "hot", so that's one less, could have easily been a bike. Either way it's one less parking lot hell raiser at Reiter. :thumbsup:

Yea i saw that too but didnt know what was going on, I just got there and he was sitting on a quad with cuffs and when the car pulled up in he went.

There's a good idea...this how I feel all OHV areas should be constructed...I mean, make an area for them, and make it harder for non-enthusiasts to get out of their area. Most never will. Don't see much quad action at Taneum or other high mtn areas.
