Why is it that my bike rides better/smoother while riding at night ? I know its not just in my head due to the fact I ride at night alot. Is it the dense air ? cooler temp ? or is my jetting off ?

probibly the jetting (dense air). In the summer now I nodised the preformance drop a bit, so i leaned it out a bit and that healped.

My bike runs great at night as well. Cooler more dense air.

I rode mine in -10C when I first got it. I could have swore someone threw on an FCR without me knowing it.

(I exagerate ofcourse)

Are you just talking about throttle response?

Assuming it's in corners etc, it may be that due to limited visibilty, you are being smoother on/off the gas/brakes, which translates to a smoother ride...

If it's throttle response only, there'd be a similar corrolation between summer/winter, due to the temperature difference...

Yes mostly throttle response ! alot smoother and responsive to me at night and I really notice it when on the highway.

I have the same "problem" the first time I rode it at night I noticed I was having alot harder time keeping my front wheel down. :ride: I live in a farming comunity and at night it gets alot cooler and the humidty shoots up making for denser air. This extra power is how I know that I'm still running a little rich.:prof:

Is there a correction that can be done to the Jetting or fuel screw

I guess it depends on how rich you are running, but more then likely it requires a main jet change. I know I need to go a size smaller on my main jet.
