Just put my new 39t sprocket on and I can't figure out where the this leftside axle slider bolts into. Did I drop something on my sprocket install or is there a trick??!! I've read about a mod with some threaded rod but right now this is all I got. Any help would be great!!
Need advise on reinstalling leftside axle slider.

are you sure you have put the right one on the right side and the left on the left side.If yes the rubber piece inside the axle might have fallen out or got pushed into the axle.

Only rubber piece that came out was on the right side. The left side has an aluminium spacer the same size as the right side rubber piece. Is there supposed to be a rubber piece on both sides?

Man I had those stupid things apart this weekend. Really annoying and useless. Do the threaded rod mod when you get a chance.
For now take both sides off and shove some rod through it to make sure all the rubber grommets and washers, spacers are out. If you didn't loose anything, you will figure out how it goes together.
Easiest is to assemble left and right off the axle, but do not tighten. Then insert into axle and tighten away.....crap things.

Where do you find the threaded rod? I've checked every hardware store around here & all they have are English sizes (no metric).
