Well i picked up a 08 sm about 2 weeks ago. Give Forest at wheelin cycle supply a call before i even had the bike. Ordered a set of SM Pro wheels. Forest sent me a teaser pic last night. I thought i would share it with everyone.

I will be mounting MT21's on them

Once i get them ill post more pics. I will also give a review.

they are 18"/21" dirt wheels, not 17" sm wheels.

I looked hard at some sm pro wheels from Forest. Talon hubs and oem compatibilty was a nice touch but I didnt know much about the rims and how they would hold up off road. I ended up going with excel Takasago rims and RAD Eagle hubs for alittle more money. Out of extreme respect for Forest I will not mention where I got them, Forest is a great guy and I respect him.

Id like to hear more reviews about the rims being used on those sm pro wheel, specifically how they hold up to off road abuse.

This post is the only discussion I've found and the mates are a we bit hard to understand.

I just want to know if they're better than Warp9's.... I'm assuming they are.

You are going to be one happy camper. The SM makes a great trail bike in offroad trim.

I have the dunlop 606 rear on mine, with an MT21 up front, and it handles really well (including asphalt) in everything but sand. But then again, DRZ's in general aren't the best in sand, compared to lighter bikes, and I haven't tried any other tire, so maybe it's the bike (or the rider...)

I was a happy camper in street trim, but it only took one skid road and a long uphill push while throttled to change my mind!

The Sm Pro Dirt Wheels from Forrest are :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Both my brother and I run them on our SM when wanting to do some trailzzz.

They are quality parts! not just some cheap anodized wheels. Not sure about the 17s but the dirt wheels come with over-sized spokes. You won't be disappointed! I was thinking about the warp9's but am glad i spent the little extra cash for the SM Pro's.

They look great, work great and are great.

Hell yeah, that's exactly what I wanted to hear! Did you buy rotors or do you swap those every time? Any pics?

I'm running the Motomaster flame rotor for the SM trim and the stock rotor for the dirt trim. At least the front. The rear I got an inexpensive wave rotor from Forrest for the dirt wheel. It actually works really good!

It's just much faster to do the swap with the separate rotors... and I wanted the flame rotor haha.

As for pics, dun really have any good ones, and the bike is in SM trim right nowwwwwwwwww
