I have a 2002 DRZ 400S with 4300 miles. It has a yosh RS2 and the 3x3 mod jetted per this sites specs. Bike starts and runs ok but after warming up it shuts off at idle. I started to troubleshoot using the Factory manual and when checking the Ignition Coil the manual said to use a Peak Voltage Adapter. What is a Peak Voltage Adapter? Any suggestions on what to check for the idle problem.

Thanks!!

Thanks Guys,
Going to pull and clean the carb right now. What is a Peak Voltage Adapter as described in the Suzuki Factory Manual?

Thanks for the information concerning the Peak Voltage Adapter. I just finished disassembly and cleaning the carb. No visible dirt but the jet needle assembly was slightly discolored near the tip. Could this cause the idle problem.

No fuel contamination of the oil. Reassembled and installed the carb back on the bike. Test ride shows problem solved. Thanks Eddie for taking the time to help out a DRZ rookie.
