On Sunday in my race, my bike lost power and stopped. I thought it had seized. It turned out that the starter wire rubbed against the brake perch and grounded out. My bike will spin now but not start.I think a few mechanical noises from the starter/clutch area.
I did a search but couldnt find any one ever going through this. Do you guys remember any posts I could search for?
Im about to tear into the bike.Should I start with the starter or clutch basket? Does the starter motor turn the flywheel or clutch ?
Man, I hate dnfing

if the starter wire grounded the bike out, it wouldn't blow up your clutch. you would have electrical problems. Id look to see if you are getting a spark.
