Could someone tell me what would happen if the neutral switch would be defective. Would the bike run differently and if yes how different.I have a stutter issue only at 3/4 to full throttle and this only happens in 5th gear only ????.It sound like a misfire maybe timming goes out of wack??? not sure.

The neutral switch retards timing and lowers the rev limit when the wire is grounded, so if it shorts the engine will be a little sluggish, and won't rev over 7000.

But that would happen in all gears. What you have sounds a lot like a problem with 5th gear forcing itself out of gear under a load due to wear at the locking lugs that engage it, and the resultant bent shift fork.
