Today I looked at a low mileage 04 WR, and it had a white dry substance, like maybe coolant, coming from the small hole on the right side of the head. It made a line down to the base of the cylinder. Any ideas what this is and what might have caused it? The FAQ only talks about the hole down by the waterpump.

It's a white dry powder residue from some kind of leak.

It's a drain in the event water gets into the cavity that the spark plug goes into. Pull the cap off the plug and blow air into the hole and you will see it.
