I have a '99 YZ400 that is really, really, really hard to start. Runs great once you start it. Anyone have any hints or secrets on what might make starting easier? I was told that the '99 was a hard to start bike?
Thanx Much for ANY info.

I'll tell you if you can explain why you use the barely intelligible "n e" in place of "any" when it is the same number of keystrokes as the correct word (in fact, "n e one" is one stroke more than "anyone").

The exhaust cam from an '03-'05 YZ450 replaces the cam in any '98-'02 YZ4xxF model, and provides auto decompression.

As for starting, the problems usually fall into one of 3 categories:

> Operator error

> Carb adjustment

> Weak ignition (iridium plugs may help)

The problem is that it is harder to read IM jargon quickly than it is a properly spelled and punctuated sentence. Thus, you are placing an extra burden on your reader to suit your convenience. This would be discourteous enough by itself, but you are asking those same readers for help at the same time you're making things tough on them.

Simple courtesy.
